Breastmilk Boosters

Here is a quick list of herbs and foods known to keep your milk production up, while also giving you energy!

  • Fennel
  • fenugreek tea
  • dates
  • ghee(clarified butter)
  • honey
  • saffron
  • ginger
  • barley
  • oatmeal
  • almonds
  • coconut water
  • coconut milk
  • coconut oil

The last three crack me up.  Have you ever heard of The Signature of All Things?  It’s the idea that you can tell what part of your body a food is good for by looking at it.  It will reveal itself in the shape, color, the way it grows, etc.

  2. Chinese people recommend fermented rice called “Jou Niang” that you can buy jarred in Chinatown and also Chinese soup with herbs!

  3. Papaya & fish soup works great for me.
