Sleep contributes to your well being in many ways- weight control, healthy metabolism, proper hormone function, mental and emotional stability, memory and learning and guess what else – fertility! During sleep your body repairs the damage that occurred during the day by releasing the hormone melatonin. Based on the circadian rhythm it does this at about 10:30 every night. If you aren’t asleep when “the janitor” comes out to mop up all of the junk, it can’t do its job!
