The other day as I hummed a song to my baby while trying to soothe him, I remembered learning that humming is a healing tool for your body. It has to do with the vibrations your vocal chords make which create positive energy for your cells. In a less airy-fairy way, Swedish researchers proved that it helps you to avoid sinus infections by keeping nasal passages open and unblocked. So next time you’re humming that lullaby for the thousandth time, you can smile inside knowing it’s just as much for you as it is for your baby!

If you’re breastfeeding, cut out milk and soy. That doesn’t work? Cut out coffee too, and all other beans. It’s the protein passing through your milk that’s probably upsetting his/her tummy!
