Heartburn Help
“Hey Holly, My wife just recently found out she was pregnant. She actually knew before we bought the test kit because she has been experiencing really bad heart burn / indigestion. It wakes her up several times a night. Can you provide some advice on how we can tame her stomach a bit?”
Most women suffer from heartburn at some point during pregnancy. Here are some things you can do naturally to alleviate it.
- Drink water more frequently throughout the day instead of a lot at one sitting, and don’t drink any while eating
- Chew your food until it’s liquid
- Drink marshmallow root tea (herbal infusion)
- Drink ginger tea
- Eat Papaya and Pineapple- both are loaded with digestive enzymes and if eaten between meals or before a meal, they both helps to keep heartburn at bay. This one is my personal favorite!
