There was a 19 pound baby born in Indonesia last month. She gained so much weight because her mother is diabetic so she received too much glucose. Studies prove that exercise reduces your risk of developing gestational diabetes- and you don’t have to do much! As little as one flight of stairs per day has benefits. Also, if you’ve already been diagnosed with GD, more studies have shown that exercise works as well as insulin in controlling it!
I’m not the biggest fan of working out, but when I was pregnant I was motivated by the love I had for my child- just knowing I was doing it for him got me in the gym almost everyday.
