There really is a reason we should’ve listened to the wisdom of our grandmothers. Turns out if you eat 2 apples a day, you will lower your risk of breast cancer by 30%! There’s lots of talk about breasts on this site, mainly referring to feeding, but since breast cancer awareness month is almost here, I’m going to be encouraging you moms to take care of yourselves! This coincides perfectly with apple season quickly approaching, so my sister and I are going to take our families on a field trip to an apple orchard to pick bushels and bushels. We’ll be eating 2 a day and I invite you to take part in our 2 a day challenge!
Add chopped apples to oatmeal for breakfast, enjoy apples with almond butter as an afternoon snack, or just do it the old fashioned way. Above all else, make it fun and plan an apple picking field trip with your kids. Click here to find an orchard in your state.
