Great Gift Idea- An Indoor Swing!

I have two boys, and we spends tons of time outside at playgrounds and parks, on trails, looking at sticks, collecting rocks, swinging, running, jumping.

But even when they are inside, they need to move. So we found the perfect solution.

This swing from Gorilla Gym meets our indoor active needs completely.
It easily hangs on a door jamb and holds up to 300 lbs. Yes, I swing occasionally while holding a child.

There are attachments for a trapeze bar, climbing rope, ladder and rings.

This was my two year old’s Christmas present last year, and is the one thing that has been used every single day by both boys (6 and 3.) and all of their friends think they are extra cool because they have a swing in the living room!

Kismet Day Bag

I haven’t used this glorious bag until now because it was my sample and I wanted it to look absolutely perfect in all of my Noonday Collection shows. This bag will not be carrying over into our fall line which launches August 7th, so I decided to start using it. I love this bag. It is the best.

It is the perfect size and completely comfortable to wear. Today I carried around my kids’ lunch, a bottle of water, Vogue and Lucky magazines, a Noonday Collection look book, a change of clothes for each child, my wallet, my awesome Microsoft Windows phone, my keys, a scrunchie (so happy the scrunchie is back!) and 4 or 5 lips glosses.

Have I mentioned my love for this bag? Lately I have been using 2 or 3 different bags just to haul all of the stuff a busy mom needs to tote about town. Not any more! I think it would also make a great diaper bag. I had lots of room for more- had I needed diapers, wipes, cream, it would have all fit!

For instance, most of the Ethiopian jewelry is made from bullets that are found on farmers’ fields, melted down and turned into beads. Something that was meant for evil is turned into something beautiful.

And there is a sparkly handbag that is woven with upcycled VHS and cassette tapes by people in India with special needs.

Lives are changed through purchases of these gorgeous handmade items. Recently, some of my fellow ambassadors visited Dolores who lives in Guatemala. She has 7 children and is widowed. Every piece has a story. Every necklace, bracelet, scarf or bag is hand made by an artisan in a resource poor country and is being paid a living wage.

When I have any sort of stomach ache or digestive related issue I only treat it with natural products. However one of my favorite remedies is fresh ginger steeped in hot water- and that isn’t very portable.

So when Green Moms Meet asked me if I would review Gusty Chewy tablets, I said of course! I am always happy to find a remedy that is both convenient and all natural.
